You don’t need to know how to pose.
Most people tell us they don’t like being photographed. That’s exactly who the 2mm Method™ is for.
Peter guides your expression and posture in small, specific adjustments, so you look like the most confident, approachable version of yourself rather than someone holding a pose. You see your photographs as the session goes, so you know what’s working, and then you choose your favorites with his guidance.
What happens during your session
-
Book and prepare
Choose your session and a time in the scheduler. Wear something you feel good in, ideally what you’d wear to an important meeting. If you’re booking a package with multiple looks, bring options.
-
Get coached and review
Peter coaches your expression and posture while professional lighting does its work. You view your photographs during the session, so nothing is a surprise.
-
Select and receive
You choose your favorites with Peter’s guidance. Your retouched images are delivered digitally; same-day delivery is often available, and timing is confirmed when you book.
Headshots for the way you work
The right image depends on where it will be seen. Here is how most people use their photographs.
LinkedIn and company profiles
A clear, current headshot is often the first thing people see when they look you up. For most profiles, one polished image in your best expression is what you need, which is why many people start with The Essential Edge.
Websites and marketing
Your website, speaker page, press mentions and proposals often call for a few options: a formal look, a more approachable one, and sometimes a different crop. The Professional Portfolio and The Legacy Identity are built for that.
Client-facing professionals
If clients choose you partly on trust, such as realtors, advisors, consultants and attorneys, your photograph does some of the introducing. Coaching helps you look approachable and credible rather than stiff.
Teams and organizations
Matching headshots for a group are planned and quoted separately, in the studio or at your location. Request a team quote.
How to prepare for your session
A little preparation helps you feel relaxed and look like yourself.
- Choose what you feel good in. Pick clothing that fits well and that you’d wear to an important meeting. If you’re comfortable, it shows.
- Keep it simple. Solid colors and clean lines usually photograph better than very small patterns or large logos.
- Bring options. If your package allows multiple looks, bring two or three, including one you wear most often for work.
- Groom as you normally would. A fresh haircut or a shave a day or two ahead often looks more natural than the same morning.
- If you wear glasses, bring them, and let Peter know if you’d like images both with and without.
- Think about where the image will be used. Knowing whether it’s for LinkedIn, your website or a speaker page helps Peter guide the session.
These are general suggestions. Your confirmation from the scheduler will include anything specific to your session.

Headshot session FAQ

The Essential Edge is a $150 session fee plus $150 per fully retouched image, so a session with one retouched image is $300. The Professional Portfolio is $750 and includes five retouched images. The Legacy Identity is $1,150 and includes ten retouched images. The $150 session fee covers the photography session and does not include a finished image on its own.
What if I dislike being photographed?
You’re in good company. Peter coaches your expression and posture step by step, and you see your photographs during the session, so you can see what’s working as it happens.
What should I wear?
Wear something you feel confident in, similar to what you’d wear to an important meeting. Solid colors usually photograph well. If your package includes multiple looks, bring a few options.
How long should I allow?
Standard sessions are typically 30–45 minutes. The Legacy Identity runs up to 90 minutes. The scheduler shows the time for the session you choose.
Can I see and select images during the session?
Yes. Real-time image review and selection are part of every session.
When will I receive my finished photographs?
Same-day delivery is often available, depending on how many images you choose and the day’s schedule. We confirm timing when you book. Images are delivered digitally.
How do I choose between the three sessions?
Start with how many finished images you need. For one to three, The Essential Edge usually costs least. At four images it reaches $750, the same as The Professional Portfolio, which includes five. If you want a full library of about ten images with multiple looks, The Legacy Identity at $1,150 is the better value. The quiz above can help.
