A Bio Headshot Identifies the Attorney. A Brand Library Shows the Firm.
A firm bio headshot answers one question: who is this attorney. It doesn’t show what it’s like to work with them, how the practice group collaborates, what the office feels like, or what a prospective client or lateral candidate encounters when they meet your firm in person. A branding library is built to cover the rest of that picture — website hero imagery, practice-area pages, pitch decks, recruiting materials, speaking bios, press kits and firm announcements — using photography planned around how it will actually be used, not a single studio sitting.
This isn’t a claim that better photography changes which firm a prospective client calls — that decision rests on your team’s experience and reputation. It’s a practical library so your firm’s marketing, business development and recruiting materials look as considered as the work itself.
Attorney Branding Portfolio
A preview of real attorney and law-firm photography from 2mm — partner portraits, matched team lineups and representation across DFW practices. This is a sample of what a branding library can include, not a complete catalog of every category; some scenarios below (practice-group meetings, client consultations, speaking engagements) don’t yet have dedicated photography and are noted as planning items further down this page.

Attorney Headshot vs. Branding Project
Most attorneys start with a bio headshot. A branding project is a separate, broader engagement for firms and individuals who need more than one image type. If you’re only after a firm-bio portrait, Attorney and Lawyer Headshots is the more direct fit. This page is for planning a fuller library.
| Attorney Headshot | Attorney Branding Project | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical use | Firm bio page, Bar profile | Website, practice pages, pitch decks, recruiting, press, LinkedIn |
| Image count | One core portrait, few variations | Multiple looks and contexts, scoped in your proposal |
| Setting | Studio or on-location, single background | Studio plus environmental/office contexts |
| Scope | Individual sitting | Individual, practice-group, or firm-wide |
Legal-Marketing Asset Matrix
Different marketing uses call for different image types. This is a planning reference, not a guarantee of specific deliverables — final scope is confirmed in your written proposal.
| Marketing Use | Useful Image Type | Planning Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Firm homepage | Environmental wide shot, negative space for copy | Landscape crop, brand-color compatible background |
| Attorney bio page | Tight portrait + one environmental option | Consistent crop/background across the whole bench |
| Practice-area page | Context-relevant environmental image | Avoid literal props (gavels, law books as set dressing) |
| Pitch or proposal deck | Portrait + firm-culture image | High-resolution, print-safe files |
| Directory/Bar submission | Standard headshot crop | Confirm exact spec with the directory before submission |
| Lateral/law-school recruiting | Firm-culture and team imagery | Authentic, unposed where possible |
| Speaking engagement bio | Portrait with approachable expression | Square and landscape crops for conference platforms |
| Media/press kit | High-res portrait, minimal background clutter | Confirm publication’s own image requirements |
| Firm LinkedIn | Portrait + environmental variety | Square crop for profile, landscape for posts |
| Firm announcement (new partner, office, practice group) | Portrait or small-group image | Coordinate timing with your PR/comms calendar |
| Client education content | Approachable environmental portrait | Avoid implying legal advice is being given in-image |
| Community involvement feature | Candid or posed community-context image | Confirm permissions for any third parties shown |
Individual Attorney vs. Firm-Wide Branding
Attorney branding photography works at different scales, and no scale is treated as the “real” market — a strong solo practice benefits from the same planning discipline as a large firm project:
- Solo practitioner — an individual library covering website, bio, and recruiting-adjacent needs like law-school guest lectures or bar-association involvement.
- Individual partner — a personal library layered on top of an existing firm-wide look.
- Practice group — coordinated imagery for a specific group’s marketing (e.g., litigation, transactional, family law).
- Boutique firm — a compact, cohesive library across a smaller partner bench.
- Multi-office firm — coordinated visual standards across locations, scheduled in phases.
- Recruiting campaign — culture and team imagery timed to a hiring push.
- Leadership transition — updated imagery around a new managing partner or practice-group leader.
- Firm rebrand — a full-library refresh alongside new visual identity work.
Practice-Area Visual Positioning
Different practice areas call for different visual tone — this is a planning consideration, not a legal claim about outcomes, and we avoid literal props like gavels, courthouse columns, flags, or law books used as set dressing:
- Corporate / transactional — measured, boardroom-adjacent tone
- Litigation — composed confidence, not staged aggression
- Employment law — approachable, direct
- Family law — warm, private, discreet
- Estate planning — calm, trustworthy
- Criminal defense — steady, respectful
- Personal injury — approachable and human
- Real estate, IP, healthcare, tax, mediation, in-house counsel — context-appropriate environmental options
Firm-Wide Consistency
Consistency across a partner bench comes from matched lighting, background, crop and camera height applied to every session — including new hires added later and, where practical, coordination across remote or multi-office locations. If your primary need is simply a repeatable, consistent bench of individual portraits rather than a broader branding library, Corporate Team Headshots may be the more direct fit.
Environmental and At-Work Photography
Beyond the core portrait, a branding session can include authentic, authorized environmental photography: a partner consultation, a practice-group meeting, prep before a presentation, mentoring, team collaboration, or firm-leadership moments. This category is still developing in our portfolio — the images above represent portrait and team photography we’ve already produced; true at-work/consultation-style attorney photography is a planning item for an upcoming session rather than something we can show examples of today.
Confidentiality and Professional Conduct
We can sign an NDA when that’s agreed to in writing as part of your proposal, and can arrange restricted access, private review, and embargoed-announcement handling around a session on request. Screens, documents, and client information visible during a shoot are treated with discretion, and any third party appearing in an image needs an appropriate release. Beyond a signed agreement and the working practices above, we don’t represent a level of legal-grade security or confidentiality protection that isn’t documented in your contract — and nothing here is legal advice about your own firm’s confidentiality obligations.
The 2MM Method™ for Attorneys
The 2MM Method™ is real-time coaching on expression, posture, eye-line, movement and presence during your session — aimed at authority, approachability, composure and natural confidence, applied consistently across your whole bench. We don’t make claims about how judges, juries, prospective clients or opposing counsel will respond to any specific image; the coaching is about how you come across on camera, not about legal or business outcomes.
Location and Wardrobe Planning
Sessions can happen in our NRH studio, at your firm’s office or conference room, or at another approved location. We don’t have standing permission to photograph inside courthouses, and any courthouse-adjacent imagery would need its own permissions confirmed ahead of time. Wardrobe planning covers firm colors, formal vs. business-casual register, and visual continuity across the bench — see the Professional Wardrobe Blueprint™ for general guidance.
Recruiting and Firm-Culture Imagery
Careers pages, lateral recruiting materials and law-school outreach benefit from authentic culture photography — mentorship moments, practice-group collaboration, and firm-leadership presence. We don’t promise recruiting outcomes; the goal is accurate, well-produced imagery your recruiting team can use.
Photography + Video
When it’s included in your proposal, photography and video can be combined — a partner introduction, a practice-area overview, a short recruiting piece, or a media-commentary clip. See Executive Videography and Personal Brand Videography for details on video-specific services.
Video placeholder: a generic headshot-coaching video previously appeared here and has been removed as not specific to attorney branding. A short behind-the-scenes attorney/firm branding video is planned for a future session.

Testimonial placeholder — a real, verified quote from an attorney or law-firm branding client will be added here. No firm names, titles, matters, outcomes, rankings or figures are implied until a genuine quote is available.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between an attorney headshot and an attorney branding session?
A headshot is a single core portrait for your firm bio. A branding session builds a broader library — environmental, team, and practice-context imagery — for use across your website, marketing, and recruiting materials.
Do you work with solo practitioners as well as large firms?
Yes. Projects range from a single solo-practitioner library to firm-wide sessions across a full partner bench.
Can you match an existing firm brand book or visual standard?
If your firm has an established color palette, crop, or retouching standard, share it during planning and we’ll do our best to match it for consistency. We don’t have pre-existing relationships or advance access to any specific firm’s brand book; each project starts from the guidelines you provide.
How do you handle confidentiality during a shoot?
We can sign an NDA when agreed to in writing as part of your proposal, and treat any documents, screens, or sensitive information visible during a session with discretion. This isn’t legal advice about your firm’s own confidentiality obligations.
Can you photograph inside our office or conference room?
Yes — on-location sessions at your firm’s office are common. We’ll coordinate access, timing, and any building or landlord requirements ahead of the shoot.
Do you offer courthouse photography?
We don’t have standing permission to photograph inside courthouses, and courtroom access is governed by each court’s own rules. If your project needs courthouse-adjacent exterior imagery, we can discuss what’s realistic during planning.
How long does a firm-wide session take?
Timing depends on the number of attorneys and image types needed — this is scoped and scheduled in your proposal rather than fixed in advance.
Can new hires be added to the library later and matched to the original look?
Yes — we keep your original lighting, background, and crop notes on file so new attorneys can be added later with a consistent look.
Do you offer video in addition to photography?
Photo and video can be combined when it’s included in your proposal. See Executive Videography and Personal Brand Videography for video-specific details.
What’s included in a typical delivery?
Finished, retouched images organized for your marketing team. Exact counts and usage rights are confirmed in your written proposal.
How far in advance should we book?
Firm-wide sessions benefit from a few weeks’ lead time to coordinate attorney schedules; individual sessions can often be booked sooner. Ask about current availability when you request a proposal.
Do you travel outside Dallas-Fort Worth?
Yes — we photograph on-location across DFW and travel nationwide for multi-office firm projects.
