Quick Answers
What are corporate team photos?
Composed group photography — the whole team, a department, or the executive lineup captured and lit as a unit, not a row of individual headshots.
Why do team photos matter?
They’re the single image that carries culture and collaboration — the careers-page hero, the About page, the investor deck — where individual headshots can’t do the job.
When should team photos be updated?
Whenever headcount, leadership, or brand identity shifts meaningfully — most companies refresh annually or alongside a rebrand, funding round, or major hire.
How many people fit in one photo?
From a 3-person executive lineup to 50+ in an atrium or courtyard composition. Larger or distributed teams use the composite method instead.
Can team photos be taken on location?
Yes — most composed team photos are shot on-site: your lobby, courtyard, boardroom, or rooftop. We scout the space and bring the full lighting setup with us.
Should team photos match employee headshots?
Yes — same lighting and backdrop family keeps the individual directory photos and the group team photo visually consistent as one brand system.
Where a Composed Team Photo Gets Used
This is the group image marketing, brand, and executive teams reach for across ten distinct use cases.
✓ Company website & About Us page
✓ Annual report & proxy filing
✓ Recruiting campaigns & careers site
✓ Investor presentations & board decks
✓ Press releases & media kits
✓ Award submissions & PR announcements
✓ Proposal & RFP team bios
✓ LinkedIn company page
✓ Employer branding & culture marketing
Q: Why is a “composed” team photo different from grabbing the whole team in a conference room?
A: Because a real team photo is engineered, not snapped. Three differences your brand director feels immediately: (1) Lighting — composed group photos use the same Profoto strobe setup as individual portraits, multi-light to keep every face evenly lit instead of the front-row glow / back-row shadow your conference room produces. (2) Composition — heights, eye-lines, body angles, and depth all arranged so the eye travels naturally across the team. The phone snap puts the tallest person in front and the shortest at the back. (3) Brand integration — backdrop color, wardrobe coordination, and brand-color elements all engineered to align with your visual identity. The phone snap captures whatever was on the wall behind. Composed team photos go on the careers page, the press kit, and the investor deck. Conference-room snaps go in the company Slack with a “thanks team” caption.
Watch: why a coached headshot beats every selfie
Three minutes that explain why 30,000+ DFW professionals stopped settling for cell-phone photos and started booking coached sessions. If you’re on the fence about whether a real headshot is worth it for your business, LinkedIn refresh, or brand — press play.

Corporate Team Photo FAQs
How is this different from on-site team headshots?
On-site team headshots are individual portraits — each employee captured one at a time for the website team page, LinkedIn, directory, and Slack. Corporate team photos are composed group images — the whole team together as a brand asset, plus department lineups, executive lineups, and lifestyle compositions. Most clients use both: individual headshots for directory + LinkedIn, composed team photos for the careers page hero + press kit. Often done in the same on-site visit.
Can we shoot the whole team gathered in one place, or do we need a composite?
Both options work. For co-located teams under 50 people, gathering in person produces the strongest result — real eye contact, real energy. For larger teams or distributed companies, we shoot each person on identical lighting and composite them into a single image — the team page reads as one consistent group regardless of geography. For mixed teams (some on-site, some remote), we’ll plan the most natural combination during scoping.
What space do you need for an executive lineup or 30-person team photo?
Executive lineup (3-8 people): a conference room with ~15 ft of working depth. Department portrait (10-30 people): a boardroom, lobby, or open floor area with ~25 ft depth. Full-team composition (50+): typically an outdoor courtyard, a large atrium, or a wide-open lobby. We scout in advance and plan around your space — most companies don’t realize their building has a great frame somewhere they’ve never used.
How do we coordinate wardrobe so the team looks cohesive?
We send a pre-shoot wardrobe guidance document tuned to your brand — what colors work with your backdrop, what tones to avoid, what level of formality matches the program (business formal / business casual / company-T-shirt-and-jeans). Most brand directors review it before HR distributes it internally. Result: a coordinated team look without your colleagues feeling they were given a uniform.
Can we add lifestyle / branding photos to the same shoot?
Yes — and most marketing teams do. Pair the composed team photo with a half-day of lifestyle / branding photography: working-at-the-table, walking-through-the-office, board-room discussion frames. The team photo anchors the careers page; the lifestyle frames fuel a quarter of LinkedIn + website content. See Branding Photography for the dedicated brand library service.
How is pricing structured?
Custom-quoted based on team size, number of compositions (full-team + departments + executive + composites), location (on-site vs studio), retouching scope, multi-format crops, and bundled services (lifestyle / branding / individual headshots). Request a quote with your team size and target use cases and we send a complete proposal within one business day.
